Mark Schultz sings this incredible song to honor American Soldiers serving their country around the world. It was nominated as music video of the year in the 2004 Dove Awards. It also served as the rallying point for the US Army's "Be Safe" campaign.

With me having 3 brothers in the Military, It was very rough on me and My family, and this song always got me through.

Discuss.

 That was emotional.

Always loved this song, but why all the separate music threads?

Mark Schultz is a good artist, the first song I heard from him was "Remember Me", very sad.

After a few songs though, they all start sounding the same.  Emotional piano, breathy, emotional vocals, singing about emotional subject.  Every other song designed to make you cry.  It gets old after a couple songs.

forget off. You weren't drafted, quit complaining.

I understand how difficult it is on families to have people they love in a war, but I hate these kinds of songs. They make war seem more like a fake movie that will always end well, while that's not always true.

Good message I guess, but I really do not like that song.

I have to agree entirely. It really dramatizes war.

Nice song. Good video, too. c:

how woud you know loving cigarette, o btw have you ever been drafted?, youre probably just some fat 16 year old that has no life why dont you go join the militar

We go to war for Oil
Except that almost all of the oil in the middle east is in Saudi Arabia and going to war with a nation shuts down their infrastructure and that the government doesn't control where when or what companies buy. But okay, we went to war for Oil.

I can't believe people are so stupid to believe the war is for Oil. if it was, it'd be a loving Conquest war. We wouldn't spend all this time douching around in the sand if we wanted their resources, we'd loving take it. We have the worlds most powerful Military.
