Author Topic: College :o  (Read 3253 times)

 So, I'm finishing up my second semester work within the next month, and my homeschooling program has helped me fill/send out my college application forms, I have applied to;

[X]Arizona State - Dual Major in Business and Interior Design
[X]Southern California University
[X]Columbia, New York
[X]UCLA
[X]Stanford (Yes, I'm serious)
[X]Harvard (Again, I'm serious)

Currently I'm at a credit and grade standing to get accepted to all of the colleges I listed above, I have a 3.96/4 GPA, I got 2,283 on the SAT, ACT scores are as follows;
ACT Composite: 29
ACT English: 31
ACT Math: 27

The only thing that really could prevent me from getting accepted to any of those colleges would simply be my essay portion, I scored awesome on the ACT but I am almost positive I forgeted up on the application one.

Also, I'm def not gonna get into Harvard sadly because of my Math grade, if it were to be a 28 or 29 they may look at it more seriously ):

Anyway, point of this topic, where do y'all brotherz go to college or want to go to college?

(Yes, I am 16, I'm graduating 2 years early, homeschooling and AP courses ftw)

Business and interior design?

:(

I have a 3.96/4 GPA
That 0.04 is from joining Blockland. Trust me.

You should spend the two years you saved from finishing high school early and think of something better to do.

Business and interior design?

:(

Yeah, I've wanted to do interior design for years, and then I took business classes at my old highschool for a semester and it was fun. What's wrong with business and interior design?

):

good for my honeymunchkin! :D

Thanks cutie pie.

Haha, that's the exact thing that went through my head when I looked at my gpa transcript for this semester. But no, its actually because I got a B- in my business statistics class on my final, simply because I didn't brown townyze a situation "realistically" enough.. :c

I'm a lazy forget and plan on going to ESU, its a public university so its cheap and its like 15 minutes away from my house

A public university or a community college? There's a biiiig difference.

I wish I was smart enough to do this stuff :o

Its a Public University. I mostly plan on going to it since its so close and I wouldn't have to live on campus or rent unless I wanted to

Me too

Its expected of me, lol. If I get stuffty grades, I get grounded from everything, sounds bad but it keeps me in line, I appreciate my parents for it.

Mm, makes sense.

Try getting a girl to go out with you when they find out you live with your parents. I know all too well. :cookieMonster:

Of course that serves as a good filter too. Any girl who really cares about that isn't worth going after.

I go to State U 15 minutes from my house. I do wish I lived on or a walk/bike ride distance from campus though since I spend most of my day there.

ASU. :D

I'm having so many second thoughts about my future. I wanted to be an architect but I only do well when its hands-on, which you obviously can't do in the real world. I also haven't had good grades in Geometry, Algebra or Algebra II. I've considered joining the Air Force and becoming a cop, I've considered video game development, I've considered culinary. I'm so unsure at this point. I feel pressured because I'm a sophomore and I'm already recieveing junk mail from colleges asking to consider them and sign up for their bullstuff information guide.

I'm sad.

I don't know why, but I don't trust homeschooling as a valid education.  It seems so strange, you miss all the experiences of a social atmosphere, stress-management, being away from home, etc.

I don't know.  I would never homeschool my kids.  If I am fortunate enough to have some, that is.
