Edit: Even if you are good with an instrument, you'll still drown in the horrible rhythm of your class.

I ragequit 15 seconds into the video.
Then again our Beginner band ALWAYS sucks.
Except my year was one of the best ones due to a new system they tried out.

I remember when I preformed in a recorder concert in 4th grade... I wanted to be in a band rather than with those immature people even though my sis said the kids in band purposefully made the Annoying Orangeets and trombones sound like farts... At least I wouldn't have to deal with the kids fussing over who gets what part or pushing or tests or "Ow, I broke mah naaaail! WAAAAAAAA!" :P
Good luck, try to keep on time. At least act like your professional. As my fav coffee mug says: "If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, then baffle them with bullstuff."

oh man, i remember those old concerts we did in stuff in kindergarten to 6th grade.
that stuff was fun.

You just get a bunch of hit songs, you get into drugs, you bang a few bitches and you die at the age of forty.

Sounds like a waste of time.

Matters how you look at life, and Ozzy isn't dying yet >:C

You're in 6th grade band and you're nervous?
You're among like 60+ people, relax. Back when I had band I didn't even know the music so I just fake played.

The best thing to do is act and play like you are in rehearsal, but actually try and play good. It also help to think that other people can mess up too, and that everyone (hopefully) is also under pressure. Br0, at one point my section had a solo and I was in the front row. Scared as stuff, just look at the back of the room.

I've gotta do a clarinet solo half way though my school show tonight =/.
I just pretend the audience don't exist, and tbh, they may well have done. The stage lighting is so bright that everything beyond the lip of the stage is completely black. I'll just mess up the whole middle section as always and nobody will notice...

Hooray!
