Author Topic: I have a band concert tonight and am nervous as stuff.  (Read 3267 times)

If you mess up at least 64 other people are going to mess up

When I was in band (for 4 years), whenever I preformed in front of hundreds of people, I just always kept my eyes on the music notes, and never on the audience, and even when I did my solo's. Try that, and let your mom take pictures of you.

See, for a second there I thought you actually had a reason to be nervous.

As if you were in a real band, with a singer, guitar player, bassist, and drummer.

It's you among probably 50+ people, you have no reason to be nervous.

Yeah, I guess so... I have my concert in about 2 and a half hours... :|

Don't pay attention to the people, I've been playing Clarinet in the school band since 4th grade.  Pay attention to your conductor and the music, concentrate, and most of all, have fun.

Do you honestly thing out of 85 people anyone will notice you mess-up?

Hey!! Number 67! YOU'RE FLAT!!

I have one today too, 6 o' clock ;o

You're the man, who's the man?
You be the man, who mashed the feta cheese.

You be the man, who mashed the feta cheese.

ARE YOU A BAD ENOUGH DUDE TO MASH THE FETA?!

Imagine your instrument is Sascha, and the entire audiece is babies.

Don't mess up and you'll be fine :D

Good luck. <3

85 people in the band, I sit right in the middle and play the saxophone.

I play Sax too, Even if you forget up really bad, no one notices, unless you squeak, and make sure you have
2 extra reeds. Annoying Orangeet suck ass, it is probobly in the top five instruments that are hard to play well.
And try and make friends with the people sitting next to you, if you don't already know them, relieves stress.

Last but not least, You can do this, you practiced hard, and you sound good, and you have your nerves under control.

I had a concert last night. Since we are such a small band, we played and were just cracking jokes to the audience. I play the trombone so I'm behind everyone else. Good times, don't worry

i love you
