If you think about it, it's probably alot harder than it would appear.You have to shoot down a nuke that could flatten an entire county probably with nothing more than another missile, and even then the nuke will explode anyhow and probably rain down it's boiling, cancer-bearing flames and clouds of destruction upon the area.
you counter a missile with a lazer, but when it explodes in space the world suffers radiation. also, if NK released all the nukes, we dont have enough lazers to counter them all.
