from what i can tell from all of these posts relating to the story, some guy works at an animal shelter and euthanises strays that cant find homes or are just untrained beasts.  how is that supposed to make me sad? op is a pusillanimous individual and im an insensitive bastard

'twas sad. I think we've nuetered my pets, but I'm not sure about some of my friends. It may be inhumane, but it's more humane then gassing dogs :(
I think if I was that guy, and I found a job offer that could support my family, I'd let all the dogs free in that rich neighborhood and quit the next day.
