Couldn't have said it better.

I still have CoD2.

I still have CoD2.
BROFIST. My friend has it on a couple of Macs at his house and I'll come over and we'll have awesome LAN games. :D
Also, my brother has CoD3 for PS3. The online play is actually pretty fun. :u

Forgot to add.
"Some company makes an actual vehicle to promote the game"
"People start to insult the previous game just since it's older"

I have the first-third cod games.

They should announce a new game and never release it  :cookieMonster:

They could hire truce to make it look better.

I still have and occasionally play COD3 on my PS3. I like the online better than MW/2/Haven't played BO.

The maps in COD3 are much larger (Or just have more open space). The past few CODs just feel kinda crowded in the MP maps to me.

It's hard to move around without being seen or shot down, and it seems you have to be very stealthy in the past few games if you want to survive. It doesn't bother me much. But I'm not good at it most of the time :P

I still like the newer COD games, they are a lot of fun. I just happen to like COD3 more than them at this point, and I have yet to try Black Ops.

And nobody has firefights in the actual open areas which are no man's land anyway.

But I can see why, due to area of where we are fighting in now/in the past few COD games (Setting, area of world, technology since older games).

Feel free to prove me wrong/share your opinion on any of this, it's just my opinion.

cant this be said about any franchise?
fans of a series have good reason to get excited for the new version of their game.

this is what playing video games is all about. even the best games get boring as stuff when you play them enough.

You have it in the wrong order dude.

New Call of Duty game announced.
Massive hype.
Call of Duty game released.
People forget about previous game.

Call of Duty World at War is not forgotten, that's where the zombies started...

This isn't true at all, people still play MW2, WaW (not as many as MW2 though), and surprisingly CoD4.
