Author Topic: Is this a good graphics card?  (Read 1863 times)

there are different types of laptop hardware just among brands.

sony and asus laptops can be popped open and parts easily replaced like any desktop.
took me all of 5 minutes to upgrade my video chip. and i even had to lookup on google how its done, as ive never looked into laptop upgrading before.

Ok, im guessing, overall, I have a stuff computer (excluding Windows 7 <3) and im screwed for upgrading?
W7 is the stuff.

W7 is the stuff.

No it's not. Sure it's a resource hog but it's purdy. :3

You can try to but like I said laptops are starfishs to upgrade. Also Win 7 is probably slowing down your computer because even though Win 7 is awesome, it's a resource hog. OS uses about 1 gig of ram. :C
I have around 75+ processes running (including backround), and about %50 of RAM is being used.

Die.

Holy stuff the forget. Once again how much ram do you have? Also try shutting down any processes that you don't need like Skype or anti-virus programs when playing Minecraft. Will help a lot.

4 GB/4069MB of RAM.

Also, disable Kaspersky? Better disconnect from the internet if I want to do that.

I didn't say that it's stuff.

I said it's the stuff.
You know, like saying "Crack's the stuff man, duuuuude."
Like, a compliment?

I was saying that I love it.

Holy crap. Your computer should only be using 1 gig of ram at idle, not 2. Shut down some processes dude. D:

Mhhhh, not to be a richard but you don't really know what you're talking about. I have 76 procsses open and im using 35% of my ram on idle. Now playing games I never use 100% cpu or ram, I also doubt his cpu is bottlenecking the integrated graphics

EDIT: I have 4 gigs of ram

The top most processes that use the most memory are default or required. Iexplorer is using the most. Bye, bye, Registry Mechanic!

Well not all of us have lovey CPU's. Technicly my quad core just came in a few days ago but I can't put it in until Christmas. It's driving me insane. And when I said bottlenecking his video card I meant if he bought that better card.

EDIT: I have 4 gigs of ram

I don't see how you're not using 100% of your ram. What games do you exactly play?

ram does not work that way.
why do people get upset when ram usage is over 50% or some number?

you WANT your computer to be using as much ram as it can at all times. no matter what you are doing.

whats the point of having 4-6-8+gigs when you never see it use more then 2 at any time? waste of money.

the computer wont just get bogged down by tons of things running. when you are sitting at the desktop, yes windows will allow all them stupid little programs to use way more memory then they normally need.
but once you open a large app, they lose some, and more is allotted to the new app.

the computer isnt stupid, its made to do this...

Ah I see. Thanks for explaining that to me unlike someone else. *cough cough* devildogelite *cough cough*

My graphics are integrated, and I only have 1gb of RAM. Is that bad?
