Author Topic: Problem with Fraps Quality  (Read 2083 times)

So I take a video of some random game. The quality is very good, just as it was in the game itself. Then I upload it to YouTube, and it looks like this:

What the hell? You can barely see the bat. Is this YouTube's problem? Is it because I'm lazy and have the Fraps demo?

Nope it's your problem. What res did you upload at?

I believe fraps makes raw video files, and youtube doesn't like the size of it. It compresses it till it's a heaping pile of crap in the same format.

If you want it to be good, you'll have to convert it to a smaller size file.
Windows Media Encoder (free), or programs like Prism (costs $) can covert these.

Um no, I have the full version of Fraps and it did it to me.
