Author Topic: How many fingers do you use to type?  (Read 2772 times)

I use pretty much every finger but my thumbs.

8, all of my left hand, my right thumb and my right index finger. I use my right pinky for backspace.

I use pretty much all of my fingers when I feel like typing properly, but when I want to speed type like what I'm doing now, I pretty much only use my index fingers. It's almost like playing the piano in a sense.

I use all of them. Except all my thumbs ever do is hit space

LISTEN cigaretteS
USING YOUR INDEX FINGERS AND THUMBS AND PINKYS FOR BACKSPACE AND STUFF
IS NOW CALLED
INDEX TYPING
GET OVER IT

Left Hand:
I use my left pinkie only for shifting.
I use the finger next to it only for hitting "q" "a" and "z"
I use my middle finger and index finer got most of it.
My thumb for hitting space.

Right Hand:
My thumb does nothing; It just floats there.
Index and middle finger do most of the work.
Finger to the right of middle finger hits backspace.
Pinkie for Enter.

Thats it! :D

I use all the fingers on my left hand, sharing the keyboard in half with the right hand.
The Left hands covers everything from G to the left, the Right covers everything from Y/B to the right.

My Left pinky finger, however, is only ever used for pressing the left Control and Shift.
On my Right hand, all but my Right Pinky is used. I think I find it too weak, if that sounds right.
I will sometimes use it to press the Enter button, but otherwise, I use the finger next to it for pretty much everything right of the Apostrophe Key.
Bare in mind, I use a laptop and have no numpad.
My PageUp/Down, Home, End and Delete key are on the furthest right hand side of the keyboard, with the Right Key at the bottom on the right.

The only time I slow down for typing is numbers, oddly, and sometimes the F# keys. Also, the Windows Key, but not the Alt keys.

Thumbs press space.

Right Pinky, Both Index Fingers, Left Thumb

I was forced to learn the correct way by my Business Technology teacher in 6th grade.
