Question about Fable 3

I haven't played any of the other Fable games. Do I have to to understand the story in the 3rd one?

I wanna know cause I want to get it for free from that Windows 7 deal. If you buy a Windows 7 Phone then you can either get it or 3 other choices for free.

I don't think so, I didn't miss much from Fable I to Fable II

you might miss some references, but there shouldn't be any major plot holes. though I haven't played yet, so I don't know for sure.
