Author Topic: The idea of Heaven: is it really that great?  (Read 5657 times)

I think not.

This is not an attack on any specific religion, rather that heaven would get very boring very quickly. There's no competition, nothing to work on, no way to please other people with talents you used to possess. Seeing as heaven is "you are what you want to be". There are no goals, nothing to concentrate on.

Reincarnation sounds interesting though, I LOVE the idea of being a cat or a dog, or some kind of insect in the next life. The goal for you is then: live, enjoy.

Ever read the book Brave New World?

As long as you're nice, you can do whatever the hell you want when you die and "go to heaven". So this is where we've all being going wrong...

like Bisjac said, when you're sent to heaven you become a lifeless drone with the only purpose to worship God

Exactly. It's horrible. I really hope when I die, it's reincarnation or nothing at all.

That's supposed to be a punishment.
Also, they really don't have a high level of consciousness.

Heaven or Heavenly is used as a synonym for Perfect. So, heaven will probably be like this:

You sitting at your computer, on the Blockland forums. Except, you will be the only troll.

And, you can't get banned for it.

I know Heavn is fake because there is no internet in heaven.

From what I've read, you'll spend the rest of your life doing nothing but worshipping god in peace.

But I want suspense, action and adventure!
