Fallout 3 crashing on Windows 7?

Alright, so I just bought Fallout 3 and waited 5 hours for it to be done downloading on Steam.

The Fallout 3 launcher pops up and I just go "okay, time to beat irradiated ass"

I go ahead and click Play then the launcher just closes and I assume that it's loading but it isn't.

How do I fix this?

EDIT: I just tried running it from the Fallout3 exe instead of the Launcher, but it says that xlive.dll is missing?

A longggg time ago that happened to me.  xlive.dll might be Windows Live?  I'm not very techy.

Hold on, I got the xlive.dll problem fixed but..

WHENEVER I START A NEW GAME, FALLOUT 3 CRASHES.
