Whether I should be angry at this or not, I'm getting really annoyed at seeing all of these topics that go a little something like this...

Hey I'm back, I left in v9. Its been ages! WOW so many versions? You might not remember me. Whats happened? Good addons / servers etc.

What is with this?
If you return, browse the forums and play the damn game. Nobody has a synopsis of every event that might interest you since you were gone. Frankly, does it even matter what happened? You weren't here, the only thing that will be of interest to you is game updates which are pretty damn obvious if you take 5 minutes out of your "busy" day to try the game.

It seems to me topics like are posted by people who don't want to know, but want to declare their return in hopes somebody will care.

these people are asking for legitimate information because they've more-then-likely actually been gone for some time

if you're not going to give them answers to their questions that's well and good but that's no reason to give them the e-bird

I hate when they are like "Hey I'm back, man so many newbie scrubs, any pro uber 1337 old schoolers like me? Yea my ID is only 10k lol there is like 25k IDs now man where are all the pro players like me at, man times sure have changed now that all the pros like me aren't around, anyone remember how pro I am and want to worship me?" then they follow up when people respond like "no don't remember you, I was way too pro and was around like years before you ever showed up, sorry."
