Some clocks recognize midnight as 24.00 of the previous day, which is probably what happened here.
Besides, I wasn't arguing against you, I was merely clarifying why that date was displayed to the people here who didn't know that particular fact about unix timestamps, or who maybe didn't even know what it is.
For the people in the latter category it is the number of seconds passed since the first january of 1970 (also known as the "epoch").
