I took two computer sciences classes where Java was used. Holy damn forget Java.

I've been reading ANSI Common Lisp by Paul Graham and holy crap computer programming doesn't seem like a god awful task like it did with Java.

Because it's boring and restrictive. You have to play by the strict rules of the language to do what you want, and if you can't do some task in it well tough stuff you're out of luck. forget the generic type.

I'm currently learning c++, and I love it.  In my opinion, it's simple to use and it's a standard.

Add Lua. It's quite a decent programming language.
Garry's Mod uses it, and ROBLOX also uses it.
Many more things use it than that, but those are just some simple examples. =)

Torquescript and LUA shouldn't be on the poll, they aren't languages like c++ and all.  Also FORTRAN should be on the poll.
