How to install a graphics card.

Ok,im getting my graphics card today,and I searched some videos on how to install one,but one said to disable the on-board graphics card first(which i have),then install the other one. Am I supposed to do this?

If both graphic cards are Nvidia/Ati the same mark you shouldnt' but for precaution only it's recommended to remove your drivers first then insert the new graphics card, then reinstall the correct/same drivers again.
