Excellent! Thank you massively! To be clear, if I make the bulkheads on the flat cars 2 studs each, that means the overall length of the cars is 54 feet, since there are two bulkheads per car?

On another note, got more done:

Though I don't have a picture, the modifications to the tank care are almost completely done.

The engines now have more detail, including but not limited to smoke:

ID 12878, screenname Redoctober2009, helped me make the connections between cars, among other details, more accurate.

I have also included an emergency brake valve on the first two engines:

The result of activating one is that the engine's  (and later, car's,) emergency brakes kick on, only to burn out three seconds later, creating heavy sparks and intense heat at the wheels:

This is amazing! And I thought your airport was good!

Yesterday I made progress, but never uploaded it.

I started on the closed hopper, seen here in one of its eventual Trans Grain colors:

Could anyone here be a chum and get a diesel train sound pack produced? Preferrably with at least the following sounds:

Engine running (As a music file, so it loops)
Clickity-clack of train wheels (As a music file, so it loops)
Horn
Track brake application
Dynamic brake application

And none of that fade-in-and-fade-out from a train passing by. The only sounds I had been able to find faded like that, and that's why I'm not doing this myself.

If you want more specific information when searching for sounds, the engines are GE AC4400CWs. There's a strong chance, though, that an EMD SD40-2 will also be used, which means that a second engine running clip, and possibly second horn sound, might be used as well.

I loved this movie but the only reason i went and saw it was because it was filmed in the town next to mine called Bellair and i got to watch them filming  :cookieMonster: anyway AWESOME build :D

Hi again! I am working as we speak on my server. I am curious as to how you guys think this frame looks for the hopper, compared to those given in the pictures and videos of the consist (I was fighting off a feeling that it might be too short for its length):

I will add the bays to it once I am confident with the basic shape.

Feedback, perhaps ratings, for just about anything around here is appreciated!

Is this WAV sound of any use? I can't convert it to OGG , so you'll have to use relays maybe.

I cannot seem to play that clip at all!

Also, Audacity can export a file as .ogg, so don't worry.

Pretty cool, although if you plan to actually use it as such perhaps you could increase it in height some, which I would suggest doing from below.

I hardly had time to work on it today, but I will say that I added some a continuous clickety-clack noise to the wheels of the locomotives. A diesel train sound pack would still be greatly appreciated.

Also, I would like to make a note here that Unstoppable comes out on DVD tomorrow (February 15, 2010)! At least, it does in the US. Go rent/buy it to see the real thing in action!

I figured I could use invisible evented baseplates to push players back into a large invisiblewall of death some distance behind the train.

Yay finally. :D

:c my idea no?
Also , I am going to see unstoppable :D

:c my idea no?
The original idea might have been instant kill, but I believe I altered it later. If it was your idea, then I shall by all means give credit where credit is due.

Just finished re-watching it, and noticed some modifications to make later. For instance, it seems I made the short stripes on the fronts of the engines too short in length. (The stripes should end approximately where the numbers "777" and "767" begin on the trains' sides) The logo on the front also seems too short in height, as it has its upper edge practically touching the headlight on the real locomotives. I look forward to correcting the locomotives with these changes when I am next able to work on the engine. At the same time, I will, in the process, likely install a pair of vents on the locomotives' sides that I was meaning to put in for quite some time.
