Once again, perceptual. We call it the North Pole because we perceive it to be at the "topmost" part of the earth; north, south, east, and west are all just names we use to describe where we perceive things to be. I could say that my mouse is east of my laptop, but to a person sitting across from me, it is west of my laptop; the same thing applies to left, right, up, down, forward, and backward.
No, N,S,E,W are the same no matter where you're sitting because of magnetism, not direction or orientation.
