I've seen people making models that are generally accepted as appropriate models.

But Sketchup doesn't have a DTS exporter...

they model it in sketch up then export it as an obj and then import into blender or something then export it as dts

i See (*.dae) and (*.kmz) and im using Sketchup 8

That is because you need the Professional version of SketchUp ($499) to get the .3ds and .obj exporters.

Milkshape has a .dae importer.
