They're trying to switch everybody over to the full version. It costs like, 30$ a month to play online on the full version.
A resistance group type of thing called PSU guardians has gone around reporting everybody who is crashing the servers and hacking. I joined for stuffs and giggles.

I actually knew he meant Phantasy Star Universe. I then proceeded to laugh heartily because this is old news to anyone who knows how horrible Sega is at running an online game.

My mistake.Typo. But still, everybody there has live. I dont know why the hell they're making us pay for multiplayer.
