Thank you

That wasn't a compliment.
I'm loving serious, you are worse than Alex Man.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to wipe off all of this blood.

Go die in a corner

Go die in a corner

Maybe you should do the same.
God, last time I posted a decent drawing in this thread it was called unoriginal and people said it looked like that whale pokemon even though it didn't, no help or anything.
Now I see people like Alex getting compliments like "you're improving" when they really, really aren't.

It's absurd that people seem to have become afraid of telling people that they can't draw for stuff

Actually, alex is kind of improving. Baby steps, baby steps.

Go die in a corner

Why? You cannot draw for stuff. My friend, who is even worse than Alex, can draw batter than you.

I have looked at every single one of his drawings in this thread, and he seems to take on board the advice everyone gives but never actually uses it.
As it stands he's actually making his art even worse by putting stuffty blur effects all over it instead of improving on basic artistic concepts like perspective, lighting, shading and making sure the thickness of the lines compliment the detail of the subjects he is trying to draw.

Post editing and fancy effects come AFTER the basic stuff, kids

Alex just draws the same dog over and over again. I think he would actually get better if he ACTUALLY drew something outside of his comfort zone.

This thread may have been a very different place if he hadn't made that weird adventure thing in community projects which kickstarted this whole mess.
Seriously, I'm being honest, he has barely improved since he started that thread which was, like, a year ago?

Last few drawings had some improved light. He hasn't gotten that much better, but at least he isn't making my eyes bleed.
Not anymore at least.

Actually, you have a point. I stepped out of my comfort zone once, and that improved alot.

Everyone grasps the concept of drawing differently. It's not something you just improve on overnight. I have an entire Library of all the drawings I did since I was three and up, and I can see improvement as I have progressed. Perhaps some people can draw like a pro overnight, but that's only because they have the knack for it.
I am very bad at drawing

like really really bad here let me draw an example like a portrait or something
I think your comics prove that well enough.
