I'm no art critic, but his left arm is a little rigid and tight.

The pants and cape are pretty good, although the chest/abdomen may need some more detail.

My first thought when I saw your image was that "Is that a wolf helmet?" needs more horn distinguishing.

Fingers on the left hand are a bit long too.

Horrid with hands, I didn't see a whole lot of need for chest-plate detail, I'll revisit it in another drawing, the helmet was designed to be smooth, but I see your point.

Left on his side or yours?
If it's on his side, he's holding a gun to some guy's head, of course it'd be tight.
If it's on your left, I didn't have another way to put it.

i've seen bigger swords.

who wants to enter my concious for a world tour?

i've seen bigger swords.

It's shortened because I suck at foreshortening.
It's actually about 3" 9'.

How about we give some positive criticism?

I actually love criticism.
It gives me something I can fix and improve upon, rather than having nothing else to improve.

Yeah, like constructive criiticism.
I'm that guy that sees something strange about someones picture but will feel stupid about posting it.

Does anyone have any tips for making it look like someone is holding something? Like when I draw a guy holding a sword, it just doesn't look right.

Just look at your own hand. You'll notice the difference between the look of holding something, a fist, and just open. You have to make the finger segments look the right length and angle, and the thumb in particular has to look right. Hope I helped.

could somebody go and draw me an upside down microwave

Why do you like microwaves?
Especially upside-down ones, they're terribly rude.

I dunno.
That's only slightly longer than a meterstick.
It shouldn't be hell trying to use that thing.
Besides, he's stronger than you are. He's wearing a suit of armour that's about a hundred or so pounds and he can still jump around like a gymnast.
