If you're waving around a 22. then no. It's also a mind trick when looking at someone holding a .45 pistol from a distance, you judge the torso size in comparison to the gun. But in that photos case, yes, it is quite large for his hand size. I also forgot to mention peoples hands are significantly different. So it's all very subjective.

You seem to be missing the key word here; "Generally".
I'm not saying that "HURR ALL GUNS ARE loving HUGE AND EVERYONE IS handicapped AND THINKS THEY'RE LIKE WATER PISTOLS", I'm saying that, in general, people tend to think that guns are much smaller than they actually are

Yeah this. I remember when I first got to see and hold an airsoft gun (they're 1:1 scale, but I've also held and fired a shotgun), I was surprised by their size. Pistols are no exception.

And 1911 grips are pretty large in comparison to other sidearms like a USP. My USP fits in my hand perfectly.

You seem to think I'm trying to nullify your point. I'm not, I merely pointed out the factors that go into firearms in comparison to the user for artwork.

A better way to go about doing that would've been to say something along the lines of "This, though from an artistic standpoint...", the way you said what you did made it sound like you were trying to disagree with my claim

very well, I will be more careful next time. Also when you use the term "generally" I'd be appreciative of knowing how vast the "generalization" is. because if you do want me in fact to address that point, I'd disagree with "most people think".
