I know a compass would help, but I want to improve my handy work without too much instrument aid.

What I do is large, fast strokes compiled on top of each other.. then I erase the stray lines. Using what I know from practice of line-strength, too.

I also tried drawing large basic shapes slowly until it came out smoothly.

even then, no offence but your characters turn out looking a little warped, LoLBert.

But thats probably due to using a mouse, I'm sure the method works well with a pencil and that Dodger uses one. I do it that way as well.

In terms of using pencil, yeah. My MS paint drawings are just quick ones, and in mouse so... wait warped. Should've told me that earlier :I

lol they're just doodles, no biggies. I also have a terrible problem of lopsidedness, though. I'd ought to concentrate more on that.

Edit: I should scan my notebook and show some pencil drawings..

Too much work, I'll do it later.

Instead, one time my friend told me that if I was a dog I would be a border collie. I told them they would be an akita.

I don't know how to draw dogs but I tried.

Edit: we really do look like that. Except I drew the akita too chunky.
