Ye, but more than just change the brightness, you gotta change the saturation and stuff too

You're supposed to do it before heuhue

right, and then it helps to mix in the color of the atmosphere into your colors. like the light areas are affected by a warm sun so an orangeish, and the shades are a more cool color so like a purplish. also the strength of the light source should determine how intense the edges of the shading are, so like a more weaker light source would be more gradientish. to make it look the nicest you would have a mixture of strong and weak light sources, and reflection lights in your shaded areas blah blahadgqaegbvrvrfgbv

if that arm is in the background, why is the hilt & hand over his tunic? also why is shield flat like cardboard? face is weird? scratchy lines look bad?

He was actually born with an upside-down left hand, his parents abandoned him at a young age and he was bullied at the orphanage. The big kids used to sit him in a chair, tie him to it by his right arm and both legs then sit him in-front of a table with a knife on it and leave him for a few hours.
