replacing lips with bird beaks always bothered me if the head's shape is still human, idk why but it just does.

Yeah its really weird looking until you actually finish and then it doesnt look nearly as bad as you thought it did.
atleast thats what I've heard, I always draw them bad :|
like I cant effectively do a front view beak that doesnt look weird

if you draw a cool character because you like this cool thing that's fine as long as you still make them a character as opposed to a flat and shallow representation of everything you want to be

like i keep drawing giant robots because i like giant robots but the flavor text that comes with them reveals that they're also personally flawed in a way that gives rise to goofy misadventures instead of 'this guy is constantly saving/destroying/is the neutral and apathetic god of the universe'
