he runs on a fuel that wont be invented until his birth, so he has to either find a way to travel to the future or essentially starve to death

i like the idea of him trying to get back better than waiting it out, because the former is more exciting and more likely to get him into trouble while the latter just involves minor scavenging and not really that much more
then again the first option is a bit hard to follow; after all, if you're a stranded robot from the future, where are you gonna look for time travel? its not a desolate world you can just trek in its search, this aint samurai forgetin jack - no, this is a bustling world of today, and time travel is nothing more than a fancy sounding myth
i mean unlike in video games, if you went out today in search of time travel, there'd be no creepy dude in that run-down house in the back of the town that has a lead you can follow - furthermore, being a fancy robot from the future, you can't just go around the town center asking people where you can find someone who knows time stuff
