i can attest to this. i can't draw an airplane but i can draw a car, only because i've sketched out cars plenty of times before

I'm taking a life drawing class at my college and we draw nude models. I'm excited for the end of the semester because I'll know I'll be better at drawing the human form.

that sounds nice, I can usually get down the base without reference but I never retain any of the information for minor stuff beyond a year, so I always have to relearn.

I mean, I did a forgetton of research on PDMS (silicone oil) about a year ago, and I barely remember any of it. Thankfully I have the majority of it written down, but man... getting sick of how little I retain over the years.

When I'm in my 80s I'm certain I'll be convinced I fought in the skynet wars.
