it only does if the guy who receives it reports it iirc
that's... pretty much the same thing as being against the rules lol

oh well, I should draw with my richard less anyways

does the skype group still exist? I still have some of you guys on my contacts (I think...?)
I barely use Skype, i'm on Steam every day though

If you start doing commissions, you could get an alright amount of money out of it at least

sig worthy
while we're talking about this, does anyone else have this problem, where you make a drawing you're really really proud of, but its research so you can't show it to anyone

I'm not talking tasteful nudity here, I'm talking "no amount of black bars could ever make someone view this as art"

I've been drawing research very rarely, but when I do, it's usually pretty noteworthy for me because it's probably one of my more complex pieces. Because of the wienery bits. And butts. And holes.

hi i need art advice

how does one make a style that people will actually like

From a design standpoint, try to experiment with what you like, work on style consistency and then venture out into the world of art and figure out what other people like. Can be as easy as exploring tags on Tumblr. Experiment with other people's styles until you find something you're comfortable working with, and then slowly try to adopt your own style into something that you're acceptable presenting to other people.

It's all about having a perspective on what is well received. When it comes to things like art, there's a pretty clear science behind what makes people like a piece of art. Take into account the colors that are used on average, and how those colors are blended. Take into account how proportion is used in the average of the popular art you view. Slowly, you'll figure out the formula to making a style that people like.

Once you get to a point that you're comfortable sharing art, find yourself a group of people who will be honest about your artwork. You need that criticism if you're going to figure out the general reception to your artwork. This doesn't necessarily mean you have to open yourself up to unconstructive attacks, but rather that if you're looking to make something people are going to enjoy, you gotta listen to the people you're presenting it to.

i quit in the middle of coloring this because i hate how the head turned out and i'm too lazy to recolor and reshade it

to be 100% honest
I think your art is crazy good, in several ways
like, his clothes, jesus christ. and the way you draw fur is exceptional
the only real problem I think you have at this point is body proportions. which are slightly janked. I think it's cute, but that's probably the only thing other people have problems with

yea they're kinda wonky on this picture, but eh the main focus on this pic was to try to improve style
guess i should try to look at it more closely before coloring it in and then i won't see the error later

Poorly photoshopped fix?
i would fix it myself but
1) i would have to recolor a lot of it
2) the psd is already deleted

eh, learn from mistakes right?

That coloring is loving gorgeous, please keep going.
o thanks

you would've only needed to recolor a couple small spots.

It would be a very good idea for both you and your art to ditch this mindset as soon as possible.
