Author Topic: My Computer Restarts Before Completely Booting  (Read 572 times)

My computer all the sudden will not boot past the Windows XP logo (it gets there, but then resets.)

I tried dusting it off, but no avail.  And my hardware has been working pretty well earlier today so it can't be hardware failure.

I unplugged my video card and plugged it back in, but it's still not working.

Check for other things like wires.
Did you knock the wires out of it while attacking it?

Can you boot it into safe mode?

hardware failureeeeeeee

either your power supply is shot, or motherboard damage.

i had this happen not long ago but it randomly fixed itself

Maybe your hard drive is dying. This is what happened to my computer.

What are other signs of a failing harddrive?

Well, it was making my fan wig out, before it started up my disk drive didn't want to work and it froze every now and then. Eventually the computer started resetting itself and freezing before it even loaded during startup and then it didn't even turn on anymore.
