Actually, the US originally only had 1, 4, and 6. FF4 was renamed FF2 in the US, and FF6 was renamed FF3.

Anyway, the oldest one I played was the first one.

Final Fantasy 2 but I'm not sure if it counts because it's an Ipod Touch port.

If that doesn't count then Final Fantasy 7 for the PC.
