Author Topic: So I found a deal. Wat do?  (Read 1129 times)

Hello everyone. Recently, I started getting an interest in buying something from this website:http://www.swordsswords.com. Most of the swords there are REALLY cool, but you gotta be careful if you wish to buy one and actually swing it around, because a lot of them don't have a full tang*. I found one to my liking that has full tang, and looks cool and is affordable. Should i buy it? the direct link to what I might buy is here:http://www.swordsswords.com/Ninja-Straight-Blade-Samurai-Full-Tang-Double-Pegged-Katana.aspx

*full tang means that the blade goes throughout the entire sword through the handle. This is how a sword meant for swinging around is supposed to be. If its not full tang, you can get about 20 swings out of it then the blade would fall out.

Find a wooden stick

Have as much fun swinging it (Or even more)

This.

Considering that the OP is like 13, he'll likely disembowel himself.

Is it for display or are you gonna actually cut stuff with it?

Get a metal pipe instead, seriously, wooden sticks are nothing compared to pipes.

Well I think I'm going to just keep it for display, but If I ever want to show a friend it outside of its sheath, then why not get one with full tang. Also, none of you actually answered my question. Should I buy it or not? I have plenty of wooden sticks and metal poles, to hit all of my slaves with.

Dont buy it.
One hit with my 20 dollar Cutlass and it broke
into 3 peices

Cheap swords = bad swords

Anyways, the site I showed has axes and hammers and flails and whatnot

Cheap swords = bad swords

That was my point, genius.
They're cheap, therefore they're bad.

Well if everyone is saying this sword is horrible, does anyone know of any sites that have good, affordable swords?

If you want a real sword, go here; http://www.coldsteel.com/swords.html

If not, go anywhere else.
