Author Topic: Shift 2: Unleashed (Need For Speed)  (Read 1351 times)

Jubel's Rating Prediction (USA/Canada): E10+ - T(13+)

Remember Need For Speed: Shift? Yes, I bet you do. The game that easily delivered it's claim of being a racing simulator. Well guess what. Shift 2 is all that. But better.

It features the new Autolog system, which makes it easier to challenge your friends and beat their times/score. Have NFS: Hot Pursuit? Then you should know what this is.

More dynamic damage is now put into this game. Instead of getting minor dents from hitting a wall at 300mph, and some loose paint, you'll lose more than just your engine.

(I'm not sure if cars are always drivable, like in the first one.)

Wait, they dropped the Need For Speed in the title?

And the last NFS I actually really played was Most Wanted, lolol. I really liked MW.

Just watched the trailer, the crashes remind me of burnout.

Wait, they dropped the Need For Speed in the title?
I guess.
It could be something like the MW2 case, with Need For Speed printed small near the main title.

bump for more discussion because of bad posting yesterday.

Dynamic damage is going to be so awesome. Especially if it's anything like Grids.

Oh god. I tried that demo a long time ago.
I liked how if you hit a wall hard enough it told you if you would've died or not.

Yeah, it tells you the force of impact and speed at which you hit the wall.

I glitched it and got an excess of 600 g's.
I hit a wall in the oddest fashion.

Bump because I like this game

Must

HAVE!
/agree
Also, Ive heard it has great quality, like it has ALOT better handling than the last game. The current game isn't great, but this just looks promising. The helmet cam looks cool, too.
Also: Release date USA: March 29

Is it only first person? Driving in first person is wtf.

Is it only first person? Driving in first person is wtf.
Doubt it.

Is it only first person? Driving in first person is wtf.
The views will probably be the same as the first shift.

Also, driving in 1st person is fun on projector screens.

I've been driving in 1st person in racing games a lot more lately.

As long as they have interior views you feel like you're going much faster then normal.
