Also, about the Caliburn issue...
Take any good picture of the front of the sword and pay attention to lighting.
Anywhere where you see highlights, the sword bulges out there.
Shadows mean the opposite; they slope away from the light.
Quick changes between light and dark mean sharper edges.
Every line on a flat drawing can show you where different parts of the sword begin and end. For example, a drawing of Calibur would probably have some black lines around the gem to signify that it isn't just a different color in a pattern.
