No it wasn't.
Secondly, Blockland performance hinges on the speed and availability of your RAM. Disk I/O plays a much smaller role and in any case having Blockland have to read/write to external storage is generally going to be slower than having it write to an internal HDD regardless of what ChuckTheArcher seems to think.

I have a 10 GB ext and BL runs faster on that than my 250 GB internal.
BL was made for portability/compact size.
Since when was Blockland "designed" for portability? As far as I know the game was designed to be played regularly on any size HDD.
And how would something run faster on a USB external HDD then directly through SATA (or IDE)...?
To put it in short it would probably be better to run it on a regular internal HDD.
