Author Topic: What parts should I get for a gaming PC? (Read 1362 times)

I might be making a gaming computer in a few weeks but I have no clue what parts I should get. If I am going to make a gaming PC I probably wont be able to go over the budget of about 500-800 bucks. Can someone suggest a gaming PC build with that budget in mind that can run the newer games these days like Fallout 3/NV, Oblivon, TF2 etc?

You can probably get something decent for 800 bucks but you won't be running modern games above low settings. I mean a high-end video card alone can cost up to 250 dollars.

You should wait for Devil or Otis, they can usually find you the best deals.

You should probably build your computer on newegg because I think they let you do that. You choose your parts and they build it for you then ship it over.

I wouldn't build a computer if you have no experience. Just the slightest of mistakes can forget up your motherboard.

I've been building computers for a while and even then I still ask my dad for help out of paranoia.

Back in my day these things were alot less expensive.

I recommend the Nvidia Geforce 9800GT, it is pretty good for a low-budget card, but outdated a little. It has served me well and I can run all the games I own on very high.

Link, I have the EVGA version, though.
