Author Topic: Good free anti-virus software?  (Read 857 times)

I've been using Avast free version for a while but now it keeps popping up with some stuff like "Buy our FREE $50 anti-virus now!) and whenever I try to make it stop, it comes back. I uninstalled it and I want to know some good anti-virus software. I have a PC.

mac is the way to go.

avast already is the best.

mac is the way to go.
shut yo face.

malware bytes
one of the best you can get
tails he just stopped using avast because of pop-ups

My free avast doesn't popup anything :s

As the name suggests, malware bytes is a anti malware, not a anti virus.
Plus the free version doesn't have realtime scanning.

Malware is everything that can harm your computer, I believe.

Avast?

Get Microsoft Security Essentials. It's from Microsoft and is also lightweight.

AVG or Avast.

I've got ESET Smart Security v4.0 and I have no idea if it's free or not ( My uncle downloaded it for us )
