THE INTERSPECIES BUDDY MOVIE OF THE YEAR

About 6 months ago I got myself a Canon 814, a Super 8 camera. I've only used it once (mainly because it costs about £30 for two and a half minutes at 24fps), I shot at the end of Summer and after I got the film processed and telecine'd I haven't really done much so I decided to edit it today.

The plot was improvised on the day. I only shot half of what I thought I did, I foolishly didn't time how long I was filming which meant I didn't know when the film ran out. The ending would be the Panda strangling the man in his car causing them to go off a cliff, however the film stopped before that meaning it's a beautiful buddy movie.

Panda!

lol this is fantastic. Great job.

Knowing about the ending that wasn't/couldn't be put in makes it even better.

Very nice film, and thanks for explaining the abrupt ending.

Amazingly cute
And funny.
And witty.

For a minute I thought you actually used effects on a regular camera through Sony Vegas or something like that.

Took me about 20 seconds to notice you actually used an 814. Brilliant job. :D

8mm ftw!

???

It costs money to buy film and have it developed and then telecine'd.

Get a digital camera :V Still, it was very nice.

It's really difficult to get the 8mm effect through video editing. To be brutally honest, extremely difficult. Sure, some video editors may have a preset for it but it still won't look like real, natural 8mm film.

Oh, didn't know that. But it sure does give it a nice look.

I have one DV Video cam and a Canon 550D, I wanted the texture and the love of Super 8. this film would be dead if it wasn't for Super 8. Dead I tell you! So if you boys from marketing come down here one more time with a list of demands then I'll quit and if I quit then we lose out on the Japanese deal. Without that deal the company is bust and you know that so I think it's time that you gave my department a little more respect. I don't get the boss on your back so return the favour sometime?

Hoogle's kind of like Rodger from American dad. He builds his own characters sometimes for fun :o

I think that's Jim, his Brooklyn stock broker who's married to his psychologist.
