Some dummy just connected to my phone.

I won't bore you with details.
My phone can function as a wifi hotspot, but it requires the phone to authorize each connection to give said connection internet. Someones ipod just connected to my phone, which I'm using. I'm not about to authorize it.

Won't they be in for a surprise.

Has anything like this happened to you? Someone trying to do something, but you won't authorize them or whatever because you have no clue who the hell they are?
I realized, literally righ as I posted this that this was what you might call a blog post.

If someone were to see your connection on their connection list, would it be obvious that it's a phone, or would it just appear as any run of the mill, wi-fi hotspot?

If it was clearly a phone, that would be really quite rude to try and connect to a strangers network, without even asking them.

EDIT: Just checked, you can change the name of the connection to whatever you want and set your password to anything. So I imagine it was something that wouldn't obviously state it's a phone if you changed the name.

It used to be named "Andaroid" but like I said, it was an ipod person who might not know much about android, or put two and two together, or just plain think I was some nut who was obsessed with Android phones.

Two posts ago I said I changed the name to see who I can entrap next. We have no further victims.
