The man began to speak again, "Wow, signed the head of defense district themselves. That thing must be pretty important." I smiled, and said, "I know, that is why I am not giving it to them."

The guard was tackled from the side.  The man I knocked unconscious was awake now, and mad.  I rushed over, but was knocked down by the squirming figure.  "Darn it!" I yelled and took a blind stab with my knife.  To my satisfaction, I heard the strong dude grunt with pain.I stabbed again, and again.  Every time I seemed to connect with my enemy.  Eventually, he collapsed to the ground, dead.  The guard thought he "owed me one for that" and gave me an assault rifle.  Never have I had a gun.  It was a SCAR-L, and 50 mags.  This was my new beggining.  I made my way down to my hole, and checked my [E]board.  Today was good...  very good.

Okay, picture this as checkpoint F.

Replace the little bar that raises with a 10 foot iron gate, and with about 15 armed guards with assault rifles. replace the sandbags with steel walls, add a hevay machine gun to the mixture, and you have checkpoint F.

Morningstar, if you are saying you killed a guard, prepare to take 50 bullets into your chest. There would be no escaping it, and you can't carry around 50 magazines.

and a message to everyone, you MUST pass through checkpoint F or checkpoint G if you want to get into Long Island. But good luck with that, because no one gets in Long Island without authorization.

Sorry Caution if it appears I am stealing this thread from you, but no one can get through checkpoints that easily. Unless you want to swim and get Ultra-Radiation poisoning.

Actually, I will draw it how I pictured it when I first typed about it.

is that penetrable?

I think not! Unless you have a tank or something, which you don't.

I agree, Jorici, well done. I kind of like the simple bar gate though. :P

You're not swimming anywhere without dying, especially over that distance. Also as of now Checkpoints D and G will stop at nothing to keep you off of the island, also known as Darkfire Island to the general people. Nobody knows what's on the island, even some of the guards. Because of this you suspect that the government headquarters are somewhere on the island but you can't be sure -its too much of a task to do alone and you'd have to get through dozens of assault rifles first.

I don't know what to do. I stared at the [E]Board v2.0, and I noticed something I didn't before. The guy named Ryan must have seen my confused face, and he asked me what I was doing. I looked up, and I said, "There is some sort of encrypted file here, I honestly don't know what it does." Then it hit me. Could it be, that in this file, is something the government has been hiding from us for years? if so, why would it be in a tiny [E]Board like this? The antennae, the speakers, the tracking device inside it, could this be some kind of governmental plot? Why would they need this so badly? Is the government making some new weapon?I shook off the thought, and decided to bring the [e]Board v2.0.0 to them. What harm could a device the size of my hand do?

EDIT: I am tired and having writers block, so the one I just wrote isn't as good as my others.

After that walk across the bridge it hit me like a ton of bricks. "The Island...Darkfire Island!". "What about it?" Jake asked me. "I was held there..." I sighed. "WHAT?!" Jake said surprised. "They couldn't keep me in any other hold... They tried, but I managed to sneak out within 24 hours. There isn't a possible way they can detect a small male that can sneak past amost anything! But then they brought me to Darkfire Island... That place was a nightmare! I couldn't find a single way to get out... So I played nice. Eventually they let me out, worst mistake they ever made. I'm back onto my life of crime, ready to do anything to kill the sick $%#@ who ratted me out!" I explained. "Ratted you out for what?" Jake asked. "I don't want to say. But... It wasn't pretty." I told him. He had a strange look on his face. I cold tell by his eyes he didn't trust me. "If we can get back to that island, we could possibly discaver why Earth is like this! We could be legends!" I said. He just stood there for a second. He held out his hand. "You got a deal!" he exclaimed. We shook on it. We became a team. A small shed of hope was still out there for me...

you're not swimming, you aren't getting past those checkpoints without authorization, but there is another option and you would have to dig through my posts that I did here to figure it out.

"Let's go, ryan." I said, lifting up the hatch to the basement. I stuffed the [e]Board v2.0 in my backpack, and both of us started off to checkpoint E. About an hour later, we got to Checkpoint G, the second largest checkpoint on the East coast besides F, and they let me through with no hassle. "Your friend stays." The guard said. ryan shrugged and nodded, and I started my walk across the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge, and got to Staten island. This island was laid to waste from the fascists that used to reside here, but they found a pretty, new camp just across the Hudson River. Propaganda, flags, and statues of their leader were all around the place. I continued to walk for about 40 minutes, and I came up to Checkpoint E. The head of the Defense District, Damian Krelss, got out of his vehicle. He held up the pulse rifle, and then many guards came out of the building. They all raised their weapons towards me, and Damian gave the order. The started firing. The ground chipped and flew up next to me, and I screamed, dropping the [E]Board V2.0 on the ground. They continued firing! I sprinted off in the opposite direction, hurdling over rubble and low-lying fences, i felt like my lungs were about to explode. I continued running. Then I stopped. Wouldn't the Checkpoint G guards kill me, too? I knew one thing I had to do: Get across that bridge before Damian sends the word to the guards to kill me.

EDIT: Caution, I found a cool picture that you could use to make a map of Darkfire Island, it even looks wasteland-ey.

I didn't kill a guard, I killed a man attacking a guard.  Dur.  I'm not that dumb.  Also, I didn't go through checkpoint F, I dropped the guy off AT checkpoint F and made my way back to my home.  Read more carefully next time.

Over the next hour, I decided to trudge through the poor lands on the edge of NYC.  I made my way to what was formerly The Bronx and got jumped, I killed the man who did it by stabbing him.  Nothing to interesting happened, except on the way back, I saw two PALE men outside of a building.  The were dead, apparently they hade been in a "Rust Storm."  I went inside the building they were outside of, and saw a door in the back.  I turned and left, back to my place.

I began sprinting across the bridge. I hope Ryan was alright. Checkpoint G was in view, and I got closer, and closer until I could see the guard's eyes. He raised his gun and shot at me. There was nothing I could do, I would die if I stayed any longer, and I would die if I turn back. There was only one thing I could do. I sprinted, and leaped off the bridge, heading straight to the dark brown water. The last thing I remember before blacking out was screaming as I hit the water.

Suddenly I stopped dead in my tracks, "Uh, I don't think we are getting across the rest of the bridge" I point towards the hundreds of armed guards at the end of the bridge, "We need a plan, or get a minigun, heh" I joke. We sit half way across the bridge, concealed by the nights darkness, creating a plan, "Ok, I know that guards regularly patrol the bridge in teams of two, when we see the next patrol we can ambush them, and take their uniforms." Max said. "Well we will need to be fast then, if they alert the other guards I don't think we will live very long." I say. Now we had a plan, not the best plan but a plan, we sat in the dark, waiting for the next patrol, across the bridge we saw two guards begin to patrol the bridge, "And so it begins..." I say.

(Yeah lets just say we are half-way across the bridge, we can't make it seem like we got across killing like 3 guards, considering its one of the largest checkpoints.)

The government's semi-destroyed but still fully operational "helicopter" levitates loudly in the middle of the air, by the bridge. The pilots receive word that a man by the name of Henry Brown has assaulted officers and has jumped the bridge. They have no idea if this is true or not, but they were paid to follow orders and to do what the government wants so they don't argue or question their boss. The officer in the rear part of the aircraft flicks a switch on a large round drum, and immediately, a long, bright rod of light bursts out of the end and descends a few feet into the dark river below. The helicopter takes motion and begins moving around in circles over the river, looking for some sort of dark form. After a few minutes, the officer spots something dark floating near the surface of the water; it appears to be a body. The helicopter drops down quite a few feet, towards the form. The searchlight operator continues to keep the area alight and yells back to the crew to get ready.
Finally the helicopter is right above the surface of the dank river, and it creates large, thick ripples in it's surface. The searchlight goes off and the outer lights on the aircraft switch on, filling the air of about a twenty foot radius with decent light. The large drum rolls back into the interior and another officer reaches down into the water and grabs onto the body's clothing. With the help of the crew, he pulls the body on board and begin to examine the man.
"He's just a kid, David, how could he assault an officer?"
"I don't know, just check him out. Look and see if he's got a pulse."
The guard presses two fingers, his index and middle fingers, into the body's neck. The officer concentrates hard on checking for life, and finally he pulls his hand back.
"Kid's alive, but he's out cold."
"Think we got the right guy?" says a new voice, much deeper than the other two.
"Of course we do, otherwise we're not getting paid and we just wasted time," says the first man.
          "Hmmm..."

I heard gunfire at section G.  "Not again," I muttered as I made my way towards the commotion like any other buman being in the area.  I began to run thinking that excitement was rare here.  I would regret that the next day and a half.  I put on extra speed and sprinted for a half mile.  I reached the bridge soon, but it was over.  I started to jog down the river, noticing the large ripples still there like impact.  During the night, I spot the body being lifted off by a helicopter.  I decided to follow the heli as far as I could.  However, soon it was over, and I dropped to the ground, exhausted.  I crawled into the nearest building that was half intact.  When I got inside, an impact to the head knocked me out...

I lay on the floor, slowly being dragged into a small, dark room...

morningstar, how are you all over the place? And you wouldn't hear gunfire from Checkpoint G, since you were near Checkpoint F. Try to be more... realistic? I guess. I don't know. Wait, how the hell did you get on Long island?

I heard people talking in my semi-conscious state. "His radiation level is around 900!" and "His internal organs were nearly crushed from the fall!" I opened my eyes and I was being injected with something. The doctor must have seen me stir, and he calmly said, "Relax, this is just a Stem Cell Regenerator, your internals should be a little better in about a week or so. About your radiation levels, you have contracted a severe case of Radiation Poisoning, and it is hitting you hard." He must have given me an anesthetic because I passed out again.

Caution, can you add another aspect to this roleplay? A Stem Cell Regernation Kit, it will heal your critical wounds over a long period of time, but they JUST started being made before the nuclear holocaust, so they are extremely rare?

Sounds good to me. Other odd experiments and such seem cool too.
