Author Topic: Music that Inspires  (Read 2335 times)

I noticed that listening to music while building, drawing, or pretty much doing anything that requires imagination or creativity makes me not only move faster, but makes whatever I am making better too. All music doesn't  help, only certain songs really inspire me, and it doesn't necessarily give me better ideas, it just enhances the ones I am working on. If you guys have any music that you listen to when building or doing anything creative that really helps you, post it here! I will start it off with two songs that really inspire my work.

Convergere in Giambellino - Calibro 35

Rich Girl - Hall and Oats

Eat the Rich - Motörhead
OR
Overkill - Motörhead

Clair de Lune - Claude Debussy

I find this inspiring for some reason, and I can play it from memory on the piano.

forget you

no no no the song forget you by cee lo green
it teaches you that you shouldn't treat others badly because in the end they might just be what you need.

Chthonian - Disfiguring the Goddess
Somnambulism Candlelight - Disfiguring the Goddess
Invade - Within the Ruins
Zyglrox - Bulb/Periphery
Apostle - Idoler
Everything Vildhjarta and TesseracT have recorded so far.

All of these songs makes me want to pick up my guitar/sit down at my drum set and try harder to suck less.

It entirely depends on what I am doing for me. When programming I listen to one type of music, when designing or doing art I listen to others depending on the mood im trying to capture.
