Old games/New games?

Do you ever find it interesting, even though some new games have better graphics and a TON of new abilities, the old ones just seem much better?


i.e.

Empire earth 1 is better than EE 2/3
AoE 1/2 are better than AoE 3

i find it interesting how game developers can make a game that everyone thinks is WORSE then the first....
