that is all, have a nice stay

Earth is believed to be getting a second sun burning in the sky before the end of 2012, as the second biggest star in the universe, Betelgeuse, is dying, which could lead to “multiple days of constant daylight”.

Vaguely reminiscent to 2010: the year we make contact

THE SUN GETS ENGULFED IN FLAME AND TURNS INTO A SUN THROUGH A BUNCH OF BLACK RECTANGULAR BLOCKS

BETELGEUSE WILL NOT AFFECT US AT ALL, YOU MORONS
no kalphiter, you're supposed to wait until someone actually says or implies that

I knew about this for a while, I can't wait.

Dumbass it isn't the biggest star in the universe.

This is an untrusted source, it's already spewing bullstuff.

Oh, by the way, pronounced like Beetle juice.

This isn't going to be like two suns, just constant light like alaskan summers.

I knew about this for a while, I can't wait.

How can someone predict something in the next year?
They're making up a lie. All they want is money.

This comment is stupid as well.

That sounds pretty cool, although it makes me worry about how the ecosystem here would be affected by constant daylight.

Is it the biggest star ever?
This conflicts with my current knowledge.

Yeah, that went through my head too.

So, why is everyone calling each other idiots over this?
Might I ask what the point is?
