Author Topic: "Show Key" Button  (Read 821 times)

I think it's a good idea to make a button on the main menu of blockland so that if you entered your key, you can press it and show your key instead of checking your email.

I lost my email yet I still have my key.dat but not that actual key. This would fix this problem.

Be careful next time, Badspot won't like having keys so easily shown.

I kind of agree with this, it would be helpful, but what if you use the same computer as your brother or something and he has a different key? Then he would know your key.

Save it in a "key.txt" in your blockland folder next to your "key.dat" ?

that's not the point.

Who the forget cares if it's on your computer?

It serves exactly the same purpose except doesn't require Badspot to do anything, plus it's optional.

The original point of key.dat being encrypted is that people can't steal it by copying the file, if they can access key.dat they can access Blockland and gain the decrypted key anyway if your suggestion was added. The current protection works and can be opted out of by the file method, this couldn't be.

AAAAA-AAAA-AAAA-AAAA

And it starts with AACB5

I connected my MP3 player to my computer and stored my Key in a .txt in it.

Your key.dat is just as good as your key.txt.

Sure, you can't read the .dat file, as it gets decoded by Blockland, but it works.

And it starts with AACB5

i take it as you know his ID? :D
also, i thought the key.dat file relies on the computer you're using?
