why would the universe expand from a set size
i am a little curious
Because it seems to me that, even if everything was all in one piece in the 'beginning', it would have to be the sum of everything put together at the smallest possible size. According to what I know, there's a point at which things cannot compress anymore.
And, when these things were compressed, what would cause them to expand? It seems like the gravity of all of these things together would be ridiculous. How could they expand, unless, all of these things had immense energy, which would hint that they had come back together after expanding previously. Then I would wonder, what made them move in the first place,
and you'd think that they would eventually balance out and pretty much stop moving.Nevermind, no energy could be lost because all of it would come back when the universe re-compacted. All of the counter-gravity energy would come back to re-counter it.
