Alienware Laptop

Ok, so I have $900. I want to buy an Alienware laptop, and get a good deal for it. I'll go for an m11x, but id prefer an m15x. Where should I buy one, and if I see a good deal, how do I know if its a legitimate deal? Basically I need just tips, sites and if you ave any, links to good sites/deals/tips would be appreciated. If possible, I would really like to spend around $600-$800 on this, but like I said I have $900.

Personally, if I were buying something like an Alienware, I wouldn't buy it from anywhere but their website. Probably more expensive but far safer.

Ok, thanks for the info. Just wondering, would ebay still be okay to buy from though? I've seen some nice deals there, and I even found an m17x at an affordable price.

I've never used eBay or anything like that before, you'd have to ask around. :o

I'm probably going to buy an m11x on Tuesday. I like it, because even the lowest priced model runs most games well.

Just be aware its got no optical drive. If you tend to rely on Steam downloads it won't matter anyway.

I suggest you do some extensive reading up on this neat laptop you want. Because if you weren't aware of its optical drive, you haven't looked hard enough. Search some reviews, do some extensive reading on the official site (drooling over images permitted hurp) and make sure its what you want. The Mx11 is a good computer and if you want portability and gaming its a real sweet spot.

m11x's video card isnt that good fyi, just roll out with a laptop with decent processor and a 460.
Then your gaming pleasure will be good.

I ordered an M11x with core2duo and 4 gigs RAM. It is decent and can play many games on high/maxed out.

I would never buy a computer on eBay.

its really never a good idea to buy a computer anywhere except a retail store or friends. who knows what people can put in computers.
