Paved with diamonds bought with money Mumbarak stole through corruption.

Riots aren't so much violence as conveying a message.

There is a difference. You are thinking of strikes.
a riot is a radical way to spread a message. In other words, spreading that message by destroying all who go against it and all their stuff.

um. any leader that keeps himself in power is making way more then a measly 500k a year.

He was probably super-rich beforehand, and it's not like there aren't ways to grow your money legally. I'm not saying I don't support the Egypt riots though, democracy all the way (I just hope it turns out well).

These protests are to oust the current corrupt president out of office so Egypt can have a better future. Surely you do realize this.

Democracy is better because it's democracy.

I just hope they institute a republic or democracy, and not a theocracy or a government revolving around their stupid religion. The government is going to be overthrown for sure, lets just hope it's for the best.

Democratic systems are generally better because it means that there isn't a single leader with all of the power. Instead, there's an entire system of checks and balances, and an entire congregation leading the country (the President is just a figurehead, he doesn't hold that much power just for having the position, and I don't think anyone understands that anymore for some reason).

It seems like Americans think that way, simply because he gets the spotlight (probably because the President is more of a PR position than anything).

Did anyone else hear they were going to change the name to gypt for a little while?
Ohoho.
Nope.
He was making a joke about how they removed their internet.
I think.

Good news, I'm currently working with a underground group and should be president by thursday.
