Some of you are aware that over the summer I decided to buy myself an ATV. I've rode ATVs multiple times before that and loved the experience every time which compelled me to get it.

The one I purchased was a used 2005 Yamaha Raptor 350.

It wasn't cheap, it cost me $2,100 not including the trailer, helmet, and hitch installation on my car. But I think it was worth it for something I love to do.

Unfortunately I live in the city so its not like places to ride are plentiful. During the winter I will take the quad out everytime it snows and ride it around my neighborhood and during the summer me and one of my friends go up to his grandmas land to ride, she owns 24 acres of land.

I am also in the process of installing an upgrade. I just ordered this today:

Its prettymuch a small computer that mounts to the ATV. It cost $100 and has loads of features such as a Speedometer, Odometer, RPM tracker, Engine temp gauge, outside temp gauge, and much more. Its not 100% necessary, but who the hell cares, it sounds cool.

So that's just a little interest of mine. But I'm curious to hear from you guys. Anyone else own an off road vehicle such as a quad or dirtbike? Or have you guys ever gotten to ride one?

Don't waste your money on a gauge. That's really pointless. Get a real upgrade, not something that tells you what 5 $2 dollar things can tell you.

I just got done watching This clip from top gear and this thread pops up.

Intriguing

Lol, 4:05 and on for the rest of his struggle is hilarious. He is letting the clutch out to quick.

I was always interested in snowmobiles, but the thing is I don't own one and I can't buy one.

Always loved the feel of riding in one, even though I was only a passenger in one.  The bright side is I may get to ride one myself this year or next year :D

A snowmobile is pretty much the one vehicle I've never drove before. They've always looked fun though.

The first time I've tried it was when there wasn't a lot of snow and it had a few patches of dirt on the trail.

Very bumpy ride, although quite exhilarating :o

I have a dirt bike, snow mobile and a jet-ski (only the dirt bike and jet-ski are mine, the snow mobile is my dads), and I <3 riding them. My friend has a quad which we take out to the forest about 30 min from my house all the time, like at least 3 times a month.

My dad owns an off road park here in Illinois, but half of our stuff is broke lol.

We just bought a new Honda, can't remember exactly what.

I love Jet-skis. They are so fun to ride. I've rode them like 4 times and had a blast every time.

My neighbors have an ATV. I'm too scared to ride it though :c

I rode a dirtbike once. It was fun, but I burnt the side of my leg because I was wearing shorts.
I would like to ride an ATV though.
