Memories
by Miles "Xerces" Incley
A memory is a replay,
A captured moment in time.
Which before us our regrets may lay,
Yours unknown to mine.
A memory is a replay,
A film often without sound.
I wish I could hear those words you say,
In memories I've found.
A memory is a replay,
A perfect portrayal of imperfection.
The window into a past time and day,
To see our reflection.
A Light in the Dark
by Miles "Xerces" Incley, for Corrin
I remember...
When you lit up my world
With your bright phase.
But soon the clouds rolled in,
Shadowing the days.
The world crumbled around me,
My hopes and dreams became dust,
Yet you remained,
The beacon of hope and trust.
Then your light was shadowed,
By the uncertainty in me,
I fell farther,
And I was lost, certainly.
From darkness there was light,
She realized my fault, and
Pulled me up.
And you stood there still.
I'd found you once again,
But I was changed.
I was in the light,
Unbound, unchained.
